As fuel in the tank is drained to the carburetor air needs to take its place otherwise a vacuum would occur inside the tank prohibiting fuel from draining to the carburetor. The vent assembly is just pressed into the slot on the tank, but a screwdriver may be needed to remove the housing. This vent assembly is sold individually.
