It is one of the two brushes that help to provide electrical contact between the motor and the power source, allowing the equipment to run. If the brush is worn down or damaged, you will notice reduced power output and the trimmer may not turn on at all. To begin the repair, switch the equipment off and remove the motor housing. Detach the faulty brush from the brush holder and position the new one in place. Ensure that the brush is securely fitted in the holder before reattaching the motor housing.
