This is a replacement air filter/AC cartridge for your small engine. The air filter prevents dirt and debris from entering the engine. Over time, the air filter can become clogged or damaged, and this can lead to reduced performance. This air filter is approximately 4 inches wide and approximately 5 inches long. To replace the air filter, locate the air filter cover on the side of the engine, unscrew it, and remove the old filter. Be sure to clear out any dirt, clippings, or other debris that has found its way into the air filter assembly before you insert the new filter. Reattach the air filter cover, and secure it with the screws. This product is sold individually.

This part is the replacement spark plug for your engine. It measures approximately 2.5 inches by 1 inch. The spark plug creates the spark that ignites fuel in your engine during the combustion process. Over time, spark plugs can become worn and can go bad, which will prevent the engine from firing. Also replaced fuel tank , the built in fuel shut off started leaking , had to replace the tank. Ordered a new one Briggs & Stratton original equipment fit perfect . This is a 25 year old Briggs & Stratton lawn mower 3.5 HP, Runs perfect, starts by the 2nd crank every time. First time I ever had to spend money on it since I bought it new in 1991

This Ni Nut-Lock, or Nylock Nut, is a Silver 1/4 x 20 metal nut. Sold individually, it can be adjusted using a wrench or socket and torque wrench to the manufacturer specfications, and is used to secure the sheer pin in place, on the impeller assembly. These nuts are a one-time use part due to their locking mechanism. You'll know the nut has broken when it appears to have damaged threads or rounded off edges.

Smelled Gas Leaks
Inspected/removed fuel lines and found signs of leak. Removed and inspected carburetor and found that seals and gaskets were toast. Replaced said seals with ones from the kit that fit and replaced fuel lines.Would be nice to have a fuel line kit with the big fuel line (tank to carb) and the little one (carb to engine) together with all the necessary clamps. This grommet is an OEM part that is a 45-degree elbow for the crankcase breather tube of your mower engine. That is why it is also known as a 45-degree breather tube.
The part is made of rubber and is black in color. You must purchase this part individually. Your grommet may require replacing if you notice dark smoke coming out of the exhaust. This is a telltale sign that your grommet has become cracked and damaged. Other symptoms are a reduction in the mower performance, or a backfiring engine. According to our customers, this is an easy repair.
It requires no tools. Simply attach the grommet to the breather tube from the crankcase to the carburetor.

Toro Diaphragm-Carburetor

This is a carburetor diaphragm, which is an OEM part that pumps fuel from the tank to the engine. It is roughly 1x2 inches and black in color. Sold individually, this part can fail due to fatigue and wear, and if it is broken you may notice your engine is running rough or not starting. If your engine exhibits these signs of being starved of fuel, your diaphragm is damaged and needs to be replaced.
Our customers found this repair to be of medium difficulty. It requires a wrench, screwdriver, and pliers to complete. You will be able to locate your diaphragm inside the carburetor itself to swap it out with your new one.

This 5hp B&G was manufactured in 1985! Had been garage kept and always dependable. After 10 years of non use the carb wasn't getting gas. Removed air cleaner box, muffler and crankcase breather to easily remove carb, replace parts and reassemble.

Toro Grommet

This OEM grommet, also called a 90-degree breather tube, is sold individually. Black in color and made of rubber, this is a 90-degree elbow for the crankcase breather tube of your mower engine. If you notice a reduction in the mower engine performance, and engine backfires, this part is likely to be in need of replacing. It can develop cracks due to fatigue, and our troubleshooting tip is to inspect this part if dark smoke is coming out of the exhaust, it is a telltale sign.

the head blew a vaulve guide destoying push rods
about 6 hours to tear down and replace don't do it in the hot sun needed more breaks takes longer, but the new factory heads did it started up 185 lbs of compression almost back to new, so much more power than old one's. FYI take off the motor cover every year clean out the debris (grass-mouse nest- and oil) it blocks the air and COOKS THE HEAD it only takes short time and will make that motor last a little longer but it is a BRIGGS engine
