This air cleaner/filter cover kit is supplied by the original manufacturer for use in lawn mowers. It includes one plastic cover, and the necessary mounting hardware - one knob, one seal and two metal brackets. The cover prevents moisture and debris from entering the air cleaner housing and damaging the air cleaner. The air cleaner cover will need to be replaced if it becomes cracked, damaged, or loose, to prevent contaminants from entering the engine. A faulty air cleaner cover will result in low power output, increased fuel consumption, engine stalling, and engine damage if left unaddressed. Remove the fasteners that secure the cleaner cover and pull it off the equipment. Clean the air filter housing and replace the air filter if necessary. It is recommended to inspect and replace the air filter every 3 to 6 months for optimal engine performance. Align the new cover with the mounting holes and secure it in place using the appropriate fasteners.
