This strainer cup in the fuel strainer assembly of your engine filters debris and contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the engine. It is usually positioned along the fuel line, but on the bottom of the fuel strainer assembly, protecting the engine from impurities. A damaged cup may display excessive wear or leak. If it becomes clogged or restricted, it can disrupt fuel flow. This can lead to engine stalling, reduced power, or even engine failure. Consult your user guide to locate the strainer cup. Start by closing off the fuel line using the lever on the assembly. Remove any necessary components to access the cup. Use pliers or a wrench to disconnect the cup from the engine. Please note that this OEM strainer cup is sold separately from the fuel strainer assembly.
