This OEM insulator is compatible with trimmers and multi-tools and attaches to the head of the tool to reduce excessive vibrations and mechanical wear/interference from the driveshaft. Over time, this insulator will wear down and that will be apparent if your tool stops spinning/cutting, thus it will need to be replaced. Since it is a high-wear part, it is recommended that you consider ordering multiple to avoid running out in the future. To replace this insulator, simply remove the head attachment and slide this part out. But depending on the type of attachment connected to the tool, it might have to be disassembled to be replaced, in which case you would need a screwdriver or Allen key.
