The impeller attaches to the impeller shaft and is used to collect and gather snow to be discharged from the chute assembly. This item is available as an individual replacement part.

Ariens snow blower model 938016. Can the impellers ps8791710 be replaced without removing the shaft from the unit?
For model number 938016
Hello Gene, thank you for your question. You should not have to remove the shaft. Here are some instructions from another customer. " I had already removed the broken impeller using a socket set to remove the bolts holding it together. When the new part arrived, I simply fit the slots in the new parts on the pins, held the two pieces with one hand while placing a bolt through the pre- drilled holes. It was easy and took maybe 15 minutes to replace all of the bolts and snug them tight.". I hope this helps!

If my impeller is totally destroyed, do I need to buy two havlves, so in other words, two of these parts? Also, does the hardware come with it to attach to the circulating rod?
For model number 938018
Hi Steve, thank you for reaching out. Yes, you will need to buy two half impellers, part number PS8791710. The hardware does not come with it. The screws, part number PS16234088, and the washer, part number PS16233784, come separately. They are sold individually. We hope that helps!
