Our machine won't go thru cycle. Hums for a while goes to clean? Do you think we need the ps8732999 control? Dave

Hello David, thank you for your question. The first step would be to disconnect power to the unit and clean the filter under the lower spray arm to be sure there is nothing clogging that area. I would recommend testing the water valve part number 00607335, turbidity sensor part number 00611323, and float switch part number 00611665 first. These parts can cause the unit to not start. If the water isn't getting into the tub the appliance will only hum for a minute then turn off. If those are tested and are functioning normally, the next step would be to test the control unit and replace if necessary. I hope this helps!

Dishwasher doesnt start properly sometimes. It will hum for a bit and then goes to "clean" if i turn unit off and try to reset cycle it will start . Takes a few times sometimes. When it starts it cleans good. Would this be a control panel problem ? If so is there a part # available.?

Hi Gerry, thank you for your question. It could be your control board that is the issue. However it looks like most of the time the issue is actually your door switch: PS8727333. If that part is not working correctly it would cause issues with your appliance starting. If that part is fine however then it might be your control board, that would be this part: PS8732999. My dishwasher starts, Jim’s for a few minutes then goes over to Clean without running the cycle - what could be causing this?
