Does this valve only supply gas to only the oven and broiler?
For model number PGS920SEF2SS
PartSelect logo
Hi Narvendra, Thank you for your question. Yes, it is used for the oven. The oven safety valve is the part that ensures that gas is not released until the igniter has reached the correct temperature needed to ignite the gas. We hope this helps!

My oven and boiler will take 5, 10, and sometimes 15, minutes before the gas valve allows gas in to be ignited. The igniter looks strong with an intense glow. How do I trouble shoot the issue
For model number JCGS650SEF1SS

Hi Rick, Thank you for your question. It if is taking a long time for the oven to ignite, you may have a malfunctioning temperature sensor or igniter. Before removing and checking these parts, unplug the range from the electrical outlet and turn the gas off. For the temperature sensor, you will need to test it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting. It needs to be tested at room temperature to produce accurate results. You should get a reading between 1080 and 1100 ohms. If you get any other reading, you will need to replace the temperature sensor. When inspecting the broiler igniter, check it for signs of dirt or debris. If there is dirt and debris present, gently remove it by using a toothbrush and softly blow on it when you are done. Then clean the pilot hole where the gas comes out using a small needle to remove any dirt or gunk that may be blocking the gas flow. Inspect your igniter to see if your issue has been resolved and double check that you have disconnected the gas supply and hit the ignition button on your stove. Visually inspect it to see if your igniter is sparking. If your igniter is not sparking, you will need a replacement oven burner igniter. We hope this helps!
