The flap for the ice maker dispenser continuously cycles for about a minute at random moments. Removing the ice in the holder seems to help it stop. Also the water in the dispenser as started leaking for 1-2 seconds after the cup is removed.

Good Day Carla, thank you for your question in regards to your unit. Could you provide us with the model number for the ice maker that you have in your unit? Based on our research there seems to be several that are compatible. The solution that we found is that it may be that the door to the ice maker has to be replaced. We hope this helps. Best Regards.

I recently replaced part da97-07827b, the water valve. I am having an issue. My refrigerator is not making ice. I took out my ice maker and there were cubes and they did not drop. So then I emptied it and replaced da97-07827b but it has not made ice since and nothing is in the tray. What else could be the problem. Is there a sensor or circuit board?

Thanks for your question. Replace the water filter if you have not replaced it in the last 6 months. The ice maker itself could also be causing this problem. Consider testing the ice maker and the interlock switch with a multimeter for electrical continuity, and replace either if they show no continuity.

The ice started freezing together in one huge lump so i was always having to remove the drawer and break it up. Now it will no longer crush or dispense ice no matter what i try to do. Is there an easy remedy for this that i can do myself?

Hello Susan, thank you for your question. Usually when that happens there is either warm air getting into the freezer section (gasket could be bad, or not sealing properly, or the dispenser door is not shutting all the way). Or the temperature in the freezer is fluctuating. We would recommend checking the gasket, and ice door chute first. I hope this helps!

My ice will not dispense ice out of the door. Water comes out instead of ice. It making ice good however.

Ice maker quit working. I have tried holding the dispense ice lever for 5 plus seconds, made sure the child like was off, etc. but I can't get it to make ice or even get the water to run to the icemaker (usually hear that). Had guests two days ago and someone switched from cube ice to crushed. I changed back, I think, but that is when it quit working. I am thinking a setting I messed up or a solenoid. Help

It makes ice and makes a sound when activated to receive ice but nothing comes out. What is the problem? Do you have a video?

Hello Matthew, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Ice Bucket to make sure there is no Ice Build up preventing the Auger from turning to push the cubes out to dispense. If the Ice Maker is making ice but the dispenser is not dispensing the ice, we suggest checking the Bin that holds the ice to make sure there is no build up preventing the ice from being dispensed. If the Bin is good, you may have a faulty Ice Chute PartSelect Number PS4175965. We hope this helps!
