I seem to be making ice cubes but they are not staying cold. there was a piece of styrofoam in the ice bin recently-where did it come from, and if i buy this replacement part, am I even able to re-install it properly?
For model number FGHF2366PFEA
Hello Shae, thank you for getting in touch. The styrofoam likely came from the sensor holder at the bottom of your ice maker unit, and if it's from a malfunctioning sensor, the unit may be dumping ice too soon, causing it to not stay frozen. Since the sensor holder is often not sold as a separate part, you'll likely need to buy and install a new ice maker assembly, part number PS16221322. We hope this helps.
