My GE dryer (model dpse810eg4wt) wouldn’t start one day despite dial lights acting normal.Took the machine apart, had motor bench tested (a ok) and tested door switch and every other fuse, thermistor, etc., that i could find and identify with the wiring diagram. all checked out though i do need to re test the inlet control thermistor. my question, do you think i should buy a new control board? can the digits on my current control board light up and the board still be bad and be responsible for motor not starting?
For model number DPSE810EG4WT
Hi Rich, thank you for your question. If you have tested all of your heater, thermostat, thermistor, door switch, and motor then the only other part that would cause the issue would be your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My GE Profile Dryer will not stop running. When I set the timer for 10 mintues I can see the time clicks down to zero but the dryer doesn't turn off. Sounds like the timer is bad, but when I look up the model I can see a timer listed. Is there a timer for this unit or is it built into the control board assembly?
For model number DPSE810EGOWT
Hello John, thank you for contacting us. In your dryer, the drying time is controlled and managed by the control board assembly, part number PS3487030. It also manages temperature functions. We would also recommend checking the moisture sensor, part number PS1021860. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
What would cause the relays in my control board to melt down. The dryer motor still runs fine, and blower operates. However it was not heating. I took it apart, and the control board relay is melted down.
For model number DPSE810EG5WT
Hi Jake, thanks for the great question. Most likely, you have a faulty board. This can possibly happen when a dry joint cracks round the relay contact pin, and starts arcing across the crack. This may have only affected the part of the board that controls the heat, while the other functions were unaffected. If you are looking to purchase this part then you can do so by either adding it to your cart and going through the checkout process online, or by calling our customer service line and ordering with one of our agents. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
