How does dishwasher float work, how many parts involved p/n 151b9058 2a; dishwasher does not drain, pump ok, it is new unit, water outlet ok, filter ok, disposed ok. Best regards thanks

Hello Hoshen, Thank you for the question. 151b9058 2a is not showing to be a valid number sorry. The water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Thanks for the previous very helpful answer. The dishwasher won't drain, could you tell me how to activate the pump to make sure the pump works, also what is the device to activate pump??thanks lot, you guys are very knowledgeable. the dishwasher is an new unit.

Hello Ho, Thank you for the question. If the Dishwasher is not pumping the water out, you can remove the pump, PartSelect Number: PS260801 and clean it out to make sure there is nothing blocking it or clogged preventing it from pumping the water out. At times if the pump is defective it will be noising and grinding. You can also watch for leaking. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Hello M, Thank you for the question. The Float works with the Flat Switch PartSelect Number PS260235. Water that fills your dishwasher lifts this float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. If it is damaged or missing, it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
