The lighted control panel (on/off, temp setting, etc) does not light up. I've removed the cover and it looks like I can replace the board by removing three screws. The board also includes the wiring with the electronics plug. Is partselect # ps2582890 (manufacturer part # 5304477181) the correct part I need to replace this item? Thanks for any help you can give me.
For model number LRA187MT2
Hi David, Thank you for the question. The PartSelect Number: PS2582890 is the PC Board with the display and the buttons. This board also includes the wire harness. Hope this helps!

The compressor doesn't shut off. unit cools like it's should but when it is shut down i can still hear compressor humming. only way to shut down completely is to unplug, the cord is HOT, it's a fire hazard,if it doesn't trip out. Before I junk it I'm curious if a new control board would work or is it worth it?
For model number 253.70151
Hello Jess, Thank you for the question. Before replacing the Control Board, we suggest testing the Thermistor. You can test the Thermistor with a Multimeter. The thermistors should have a resistance of approximately 5K ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
