This dual water inlet valve is designed to regulate water flow to both the ice maker and the door-mounted water dispenser in compatible refrigerators. Operating at 115 volts, it features a dual-coil design and comes equipped with two pre-attached wiring harnesses and capacitors for efficient performance. If your appliance is experiencing issues with water delivery or ice production, replacing this valve may restore proper function. Always unplug the refrigerator before installation.

The key to replacing the inlet valve is be able to release the tubing from the Shark Bite connectors. Simple to do once you figure it out; remove the spacers on the Shark Bite and with a crescent wrench sized to the withe of the tubing push toward the Shark Bite and tubing is released. To replace simply push the tubing back in and remember to replace the spacers.
The part was a perfect match.

I have replaced the dual water valve to the refg. Thinking this is was why i getting over flow of water in the ice maker room. It is still freezeing up along the side of the ice maker and the exterior ( left side ) of the room preventing the removal of the ice maker. What controls the water flow into the ice maker ??it seems to be over flowing. any suggestions would be appreciated. larry

Hi Larry,
Thank you for your question. If the ice maker is overflowing, and it is not in use, it usually is the water inlet valve that fixes the issue. I would check both the dispenser control board and the main control board to see if they are working correctly. Also, the issue could be with the ice maker, if it is not working correctly of the arm is not in the proper position this can cause the ice maker to continuously make ice. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Low water flow from water dispenser/icemaker line. Vibration noise from rear of refrig started after replacing water filter. Low water flow started months ago. Suspect it is malfunctioning water flow valve...but maybe water filter head.
