I am trying to figure out if this is the part for the bottom of the microwave door hinge. Ours fell off, and my husband threw it away not knowing what it was. It is a piece that fits where the lower hinge is on the bottom left side of the door. Frigidaire professional series microwave model PLMV169DCA. I cannot quite figure it out from the diagram. Thank you

Hi Carrie,
Thank you for your question. This door stop is for the top of the door. If the bottom piece is broken, you will need to replace the door assembly. The door assembly, part number 5304453894, has been discontinued by Frigidaire and you will need to contact them for information on a replacement part. Their telephone number is 1-800-374-4432 ext 0. If they provide you with a part number for the replacement part, you may call us back with it and we can verify if we have it available for you. You may also be able to locate the part you need by trying the following:
Using a search engine to type your part number and see if other retailers still have this part in stock.
Visiting online stores such as eBay and finding sellers that have this part.
Trying retailers and repair stores in your local area to see if they have the part in their inventory.
Talking to a local repair technician, who may have the part you need, or may be able to repair your existing part. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi Colin, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the door switches with a multi meter, Part Number: PS979520 and Part Number: PS466978. You can also check the Door Latch,Part Number: PS979580 to make sure the hooks are not damaged. Also in order for the door to close properly it has to be level. You can check to make sure the hinges are not bent or damaged as well. Hope this helps!

I’m not sure what part i need. My Frigidaire microwave over the stove doesn’t start when we close the door.. if we push in and lift up the door then it will start. if we don’t lift it just right the light inside the microwave comes on but it doesn’t cook.

My microwave doesn't close. The hook on the door does not latch. I believe the spring inside is broken. What part would I need to replace?
