removed a couple of screws and replaced the new fuse . the dryer is heating up ok now.

I purchased the "m" series ignition coil kit per" ask how repair man". Installation was straight forward. Simple repair when correct parts are used.

I should have know it was the fuse from the beginning but I figured this out after replacing the the heating coil. (I didn't have the tools to test the wiring, and everyone kept telling me it was the heating coil.)

They did look a little different from the original ones but you could tell which was which. The fuse is at the top and the thermostat at the bottom. I didint have to use the new wiring to the fuse because they looked fine. I did however had to use the wiring that came with the kit for the thermostat because the old one was fried and a little different from the original.

Well that's my story. Sorry if there's any lackness in the details.

i removed the front panel of the dryer, two screws on the bottom. then removed the 2 screws on the heating element that was located in the back of the dryer. pulled out the heating element and tested the parts with my husband's electrical equipment. the fuse and thermostat were bad. replaced those two parts on the heating element, connect ... Read more ed all the wires back and screwed it back in the dryer. it works like a brand new dryer.

I tested all the thermostats and fuses and the heating element with a VOM. I found that the thermal fuse was bad and replaced that and it heats fine. The hard part was reaching everything from the front of the dryer. Poor design for access. Also replaced the door switch while I had it apart.

No heat usually means a bad heating coil. Removed the heating coil and found a burnt element. Searched the internet looking for best price and fastest delivery. Ordered heating element and fuse kit from PartSelect on Tuesday, received parts on Thursday. Installation was quick and easy. Saved at least $100 using PartSelect!

replaced plug, still dead,read fixit book, mislead me , found online info, tested motor, thermal fuses,found bad one , partselect suggested a bad high limit also, bought kit, here in two days, works fine ,thanks
