The timing knob will not grip from the off position. Will this keep the dryer from starting?
For model number MED4500MW0
Hi Gloria,
Thank you for your question. If you are unable to turn the timer knob to change it from the off setting to a dryer setting, either the knob is stripped and it will need to be replaced, or the shaft on the timer is damaged and the timer will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
When a dry cycle ends, the cycle switch assembly continues to hum. We need to turn it to the next off to get it to stop.
For model number MED4500MW0
Hi Peter, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, it seems that there is an issue with the dryer timer, part number PS17216594. It is essential for regulating the cycles and operation of your dryer. By controlling the timing of the different phases of the drying process, this timer ensures that your clothes are dried efficiently. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
