Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
Washer door wouldn’t lock, washer wouldn’t advance in any cycle.
First thing, I always research repairs on YouTube because I like to fix things myself. So with the videos I found I was able to pinpoint the solution to the first problem, I ordered the part which was the door lock switch and replaced it, which fixed that issue. After that I had a friend that does appliance repairs for a living come look at it to diagnose the second issue being cycle advancement. He checked it out and recommended replacing the computer board, so I ordered the part and replaced it myself which was very easy, you simply need to match wire for wire, and voila my washer was back to normal operation.

My washer lid lock quit working and I replaced. But control panel still shows error LID. What could it possibly be? The whole control board?
For model number GTW725BSN0WS
PartSelect logo
Hello Denise, thank you for reaching out. As you have replaced the lid lock, but the issue is not resolved, it's possible that the control board, part number PS17139254, might be faulty and needs to be replaced. Because if the board's internal circuitry is faulty or stuck in an error state after the previous lock failure, it cannot correctly interpret the "closed and locked" signal from the new lid switch. We hope this solves your problem!
