Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This electronic control board is a key component in managing your washing machine’s functions and cycles. Designed for compatibility with select models from Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Kenmore, and KitchenAid, it helps regulate operations such as water levels, spin speed, and cycle timing. If your washer is experiencing erratic behavior or won’t start, replacing the control board may resolve the issue. Always verify your model number before purchasing, as similar-looking parts may differ in specifications.

Washer door wouldn’t lock, washer wouldn’t advance in any cycle.
First thing, I always research repairs on YouTube because I like to fix things myself. So with the videos I found I was able to pinpoint the solution to the first problem, I ordered the part which was the door lock switch and replaced it, which fixed that issue. After that I had a friend that does appliance repairs for a living come look
... Read moreat it to diagnose the second issue being cycle advancement. He checked it out and recommended replacing the computer board, so I ordered the part and replaced it myself which was very easy, you simply need to match wire for wire, and voila my washer was back to normal operation.

My washer lid lock quit working and I replaced. But control panel still shows error LID. What could it possibly be? The whole control board?
For model number GTW725BSN0WS
Hello Denise, thank you for reaching out. As you have replaced the lid lock, but the issue is not resolved, it's possible that the control board, part number PS17139254, might be faulty and needs to be replaced. Because if the board's internal circuitry is faulty or stuck in an error state after the previous lock failure, it cannot correctly interpret the "closed and locked" signal from the new lid switch. We hope this solves your problem!
My washer’s motor turns itself on randomly, is that a bad control panel or what?
For model number NTW4516FW4
Hello Marilyn, Thank you for the question. If the washer motor randomly turns itself on, the most likely cause is a faulty control board PartSelect #: PS16744839. Thank you for the inquiry, good luck with the repair!
