Replace the filler/drain hose on a portable dishwasher
I followed a YouTube video except I didn’t take the cabinet off. It wasn’t hard to feed the hose through. Only needed a Philips screwdriver. GE needs a more durable faucet connection because that is the part that fails within 2 years.

Brand new machine and the drain hose was kinked at the factory so the fuse/circuit board failed. Technician is ordering the part under warranty. However the two hoses are so long they will not stuff back into the cabinet without unscrewing the top lid removing it and pushing the hoses back in by hand. Would a new assembly do the same?

Hi Eric, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the unicouple hose assembly, part number PS16729160, should be able to be slid into the recess area in the rear of the unit, enabling the dishwasher to be put flat against a wall. When fully seated, approximately 1/2 ” of the unicouple would be seen from the top of the unit. There should be plenty of space for the hose of the unicouple to fit back into the unit. Since I've moved, the dishwasher leaks right at the faucet. I'm not sure I need to replace the whole hose. Is there a specific Aerator Faucet Adapter that I can try first?

Bought the GE portable dishwasher. Hose adapter is one size to big to fit on the faucet. Is there an adapter that would work?
