Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This washer electronic control board serves as the main control center for a top-load washing machine, managing key functions such as cycle selection, water levels, motor speed, and temperature. Measuring approximately 15.5" × 2.75" × 7", it helps keep the washer operating smoothly from fill through spin. When the control board begins to fail, the washer may not start, stop partway through a cycle, or fail to fill or drain properly. Installation typically involves disconnecting power, accessing the control housing, and transferring the wiring from the old board to the new one.

W11538094 is this the answer to fix an f6E1 error?
For model number WTW6120HW1
Hello Greg, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the error code F6E1 means that there is a communication issue between the main board and the user interface board. We would recommend checking the wiring between the user interface board and the control board. If the wiring is intact, then the issue is most probably with the control board, part number PS16555302. It manages the washer's functions such as filling, washing, draining and spinning. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!

My washer failed to stop trying to drain. It just kept pumping dry. I did an ohm and volt test (passed). The door wouldn't open either...even when unplugged. I checked the control board and it had a blinking green light. The actual control panel seemed fine other than a f9e1(?) Error.
Would w11543998 this likely be the solution?
For model number WTW6120HW1
Hi Duane, thank you for reaching out. To troubleshoot the error, ensure there are no blockages. If the error persists, you may need to check the control board, part number PS16555302. It is misinterpreting the water level sensor data (thinking the tub is full when it is empty), or a physical relay on the board gets stuck in the "ON" position for the drain pump. This leads the washer's system logic to endlessly try to clear water that isn't there, triggering the F9E1 error code. Replacing the control board can help resolve the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

This is a 2yr old Washer and the display is operating irratically, I'm thinking that the main control board (W11543998) is at fault would you agree?
Perhaps some wiring may have come loose too because of all the vibrations associated when in use?
For model number WTW6120HW1
Hi Terry, thank you for contacting us. No, the control board you mentioned is not at the fault. The issue is most probably with the touchpad and control panel, part number PS16221056. You may need to replace it to solve the problem. We hope this helps!
