Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This gas range oven spark igniter electrode is a critical component that creates the spark needed to ignite the gas for baking or broiling. It also detects the presence of a flame as part of the Direct Spark Ignition (DSI) system, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Common signs that this part may need replacement include intermittent ignition, repeated clicking without lighting, or the oven failing to heat. Installation typically involves disconnecting power and gas, removing the old electrode, and securing the new one in place.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Oven does not ignite when turned on, clicking sound and smell of gas
For model number MGR7700LZ4
Hi Alicia,
Thank you for your question. If you hear a clicking sound, the igniter is failing to light the gas and it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
Oven is not heating properly, usually stops at about 150 degrees. Igniter is audibly clicking but not igniting gas.
For model number WFG525S0JZ2
Hello Dan, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the pressure regulator, part number PS16217970, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
