Is the drive cable adjustable? The one that is currently on it is and is a feature we want to keep.

I just purchased a drive cable (582598601) elsewhere for my LC221A Husqvarna mower that failed, and it was too long, by less than an inch. I then purchased an adjustable cable which adjusted just fine, but was nearly 2" too short. With the OEM cable installed, and the bar depressed, there is no tension at all. Is there something I'm missing adjustment-wise with the standard OEM cable that does not seem to be adjustable at all?

Need drive cable. Is there a diagram on where it attaches (inside belt, outside belt )?

Hello Charlie, Thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is Part Number: 582598601. There is only 1 belt that drives both the front and rear wheels. Sorry to say there is no diagram and I cannot locate one for you. If the cable is still attached then follow it to where it attaches under the lawnmower. You are going to have to remove the blade and the cover underneath the lawnmower to access where the cable joins. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair.

When squeeze the drive control, wheels seem to lack power
