Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This OEM start key, or fuse key, is a safety device used to start your electric mower. It is a small key, made of durable plastic, that needs to be inserted into the ignition switch and helps to prevent unauthorized use. A damaged key may be cracked or cannot fit into its slot properly. If you have misplaced your key, you will be unable to start your machine. To install a new start key, you will not need any tools. Simply insert the start key into the slot.

Does this key match Ryobi 18V 13 in cordless mower ? If not, do you have it?

Thank you for your question. Before we can provide you with information on the start key, we will need the model number from your lawn mower. It is usually found on the deck near the left rear wheel, or on the deck behind the engine. We hope this helps!

Is there something wrong with start key if mower stops and won't start without pulling key out and then replace it?

Is it bad for my mower if I leave the fuse key inserted

Hi Bill, thank you for your inquiry. We have researched and found that leaving the key inserted in the on position on a lawn mower can drain the battery. The constant current flow can cause the ignition coil to overheat and stop working. We hope this information helps!
