The dryer cycle selection knob turns approximately (can feel each selection stop) but the cycle does not always capture. I have to keep spinning the knob and eventually the correct cycle will capture. Can you help determine what is wrong and what part I need to fix it? Thanks!
For model number DLGX7701VE
Hello Lee, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the knob for damage. If this does not resolve the issue, then you may need to check the display board, part number PS11761255, to solve the problem. We hope this helps!
It the knob doesn’t want to turn to a different cycle can the problem be the knob only?
Thanks
For model number WM4500HBA
Hello Andres, thanks for reaching out. Yes, it could be possible that the shaft has stripped the inside of your knob, and it is not gripping the shaft on the PCB Assembly anymore. If the knob feels like it is spinning freely on the shaft, we recommend replacing the knob. If the knob and the shaft both seem to be spinning freely together, it may be that the shaft on the PCB Assembly has detached. If that's the case, the PCB Assembly will need to be replaced (with or without the knob). If you would like assistance placing an order, please contact Customer Service. Good luck with your repair!
