Genuine Porter Cable replacement part, this item is sold individually. Head Gasket Sold Separately. This part is used in the all of the compressors models listed below. When air is pumped by the piston it passes through the Valve Plate into the compressor tank. There are reeds on the valve plate that will eventually wear out, and the Valve plate will need to be replace. It is advisable at this time to replace the Graphite Gasket Kit, part number D30139.

Compressor runs but stops and cycles on and off about every 15 seconds. Does pressure valve switch need to be replaced?

Hello Billy, Thank you for your inquiry. This issue is usually caused by the pressure in the air tank falling. This can be caused by an issue with the pressure switch, the safety valve, the valve plate, or the connecting rod. Good luck with your repair.

Compressor will start but won't fill the tank with air. It started after our polar vortex freeze?

Hello Bob, Thank you for the question. The most common reason is a worn or damaged Valve Part Number: N017592SV. A sign of a faulty valve is pressure not building up in the tank.
