Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This dryer door lock helps keep the door securely closed during the drying cycle, preventing heat loss and fixing issues where the door won’t stay shut. It’s a genuine OEM part and installs easily as a direct replacement for worn or broken door latches. This lock is used on a variety of dryer models, and checking your appliance’s full model number before purchasing will ensure the right fit.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

How do you replace the lock? Do I need to break the original one and slide it out then slide and lock the new one in? Thank you
For model number WHD3090GW0
Hello Carrie, Thank you for the question. To replace the lock you will need to remove the front panel so you can access the lock from behind. Remove any wires and push the lock from the panel. Insert the new lock and reconnect the wiring. We hope this helps!
