Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This burner knob is genuine OEM replacement part that is compatible with various ranges. It has a diameter of approximately 1.75 inches and it is made of stainless steel. The knob is responsible for turning the burner on and off. It allows users to control the amount of heat that is produced by the corresponding burner. You can find the knob on the control panel of the range. It allows you to turn the burner on and off, and to adjust the temperature of the burner as needed. If you notice that the knob is stuck or difficult to turn, has cracks, or is no longer securely attached fitting on to the stem, then you will need to replace the knob before you can resume use of your burner. Each burner knob is sold individually.

This is the part number that i have and Whirlpool is replacing it with another part number. How do i know if this product will look the same as my previous part. If it isn't the same then Whirlpool needs to replace all the rest of the knobs on my appliance.
Hi Suzanne, thank you for your question. The best way to know that you are getting the correct parts is to search for them using the model number of the entire appliance. There are a couple of places where you would be able to find your model number. It will be directly labeled either MOD or Model on your appliance itself. The plastic on the back of a knob broke on electric range bought April 2021, model: YKFED500ESS3. Knob is labelled #W10823529, but nothing matches. What part number do I order to get a new knob? Is it the same part # for all four knobs? Thanks.
