Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This lamp socket is designed for use in range hoods. It is an authentic manufacturer replacement that holds the light bulb securely and provides the electrical connection needed for the bulb to function. If the socket has a loose/faulty connection, or it is damaged or worn-out, the light bulb will either fail to turn on or it will flicker. Ensure that the range hood is disconnected from power before beginning this replacement. Pull the light bulb cover off and gently twist the light bulb off. Carefully remove the faulty socket by twisting it counterclockwise and disconnecting it from the wiring. Position the new socket on the mounting surface and reattach the wire connectors. Insert the bulb into the socket and reattach the protective cover/lens.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Difficult to insert lamp into these sockets
After installing the lamp socket I found it impossible to replace a GU-10 bulb. I had to take the socket out again and put the bulb in while holding the top of the socket. Of course, in doing this the trim bezel on the range hood could not be reinstalled as the bulb was now in the way.
I installed the bezel trim ring and just sat the lamp socket on top of the opening through the back of the front hood area. The socket is not attached to the hood now, but it seems to be setting in place and does not move when operating the exhaust fan.

Both lights do not turn on? There’s power the fan works but lights do not
For model number JVX5300EJES
Hello Steve, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the lights, part number PS11773829, sockets, part number PS12170321, and wiring. If these parts are good, the electronic control board, part number PS11762554, might be defective. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
I was attempting to replace my light in this hood and when I rotated the lamp half of it fell off. I cannot remove the other half that's still stuck in the hood and when I went to pull out the bulb it broke and part of the bulb with the pins are still stuck in the socket. This should not have been that difficult. Can the entire lamp be replaced?
For model number JVC5360SJSS
Hi Dianne, thank you for your inquiry. We would suggest replacing the lamp socket to fix the issue, the part number is PS12170321. If you require assistance placing an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
