I have a Kitchenaid KSEG700ESS2 stove and one eye (left three ring burner) runs on high no matter what setting it selected. Could the problem be a bad infinite switch? If it was bad, would all the eye do the same thing?

Hi Jamie,
Thank you for your question. If you turn the burner on to a lower temperature and it goes to a higher temperature instead, then there is an issue with the switch that controls that burner and it will need to be replaced. The part number listed under your model number for the switch is PS12114485. If you would like to place an order for it, you may order it either online or by calling our customer service line and anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

The three size burner on front left of the range only has the high setting on all three sizes. We can not get it to reduce the temperature. What do I need?

Hello Scott, thank you for reaching out. The issue seems to be with the Infinite Switch and you may need to replace it, the part number is PS12114485. It turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. If that does not help, we would recommend replacing the Triple Radiant Surface Element, part number PS11764923. We hope this solves your problem!
My front left burner, has 3 diameter cook settings, each adjust from low to high. No matter how the burner knob is set, it always runs on high heat. Is it the infinite switch that needs rel9aced? If so, what is the part number for my model. Also, what is the part number for the knob itself, I need to replace that also.

Hello Curtis, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, the infinite switch, part number PS12114485, and the knob, part number PS11765471, are compatible with your model. We hope this helps!
We currently have the issue of the left front burner only heating on high regardless of whether the knob is turned to low, medium, or high. I ordered and replaced the infinite switch for the burner, but I am still experiencing the problem. Is there any other fix, or is it possible that the new part was defective as well? Thanks in advance.

Hi Kyle,
Thank you for your question. If you have replaced the burner switch and the burner still heats on high regardless of what setting it is on, then you either have a defective switch or the issue may be with the element. You will need to test these parts for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if they are operating normally. Before removing and testing these parts, unplug the range from the electrical outlet. For the burner switch, place the multimeter's probes on the L1 and H1 terminals. Once you have completed that test, touch the probes to the L2 & H2 terminals. If your test results indicate that there is no continuity between one or both sets of terminals, you need a replacement infinite switch. For the burner element, touch each of the terminals one at a time with one probe while holding the other probe to the outside surface of the element. If either terminal shows continuity, it is defective. To test the entire element for continuity, place each of the probes on the terminals, one on each. The exact reading you should receive varies between models, refer to your owner’s manual to determine what yours should be, but if any element has a reading outside of 19 to 115 ohms, it is defective. If you do not receive the correct readings from the tests above or find damage on your element, you will need a replacement surface burner element. We hope this helps!
