Upgrade your dishwasher with the GE float dome. This essential component sits on the float stem and ingeniously rises with the water level. It is designed to activate the float switch, efficiently shutting off the water supply if the water level becomes too high. Installing is easy, although it is recommended to wear work gloves for protection. Improve your appliance's function with this genuine GE Float Flood, a durable solution for maintaining the right water levels in your dishwasher. A must-have for operational efficiency of your GE dishwasher appliance.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money

float fix.
A perfect fit, no problem, starting working again. I actually attempted to fix the melted one, I forgot to put it back after cleaning it and it melted across the heating element. But it ended up about a half inch short and would not let water in. Thanks for the quick shipment, saved a repairman from calling me an idiot.

Great to have the dishwasher working again!
Right part - fit perfectly. Only downside was shipping for faster delivery was so expensive I went for the lesser option. Over a week without a dishwasher is just too long. But, grateful that finding the broken part was easy and so available.

When I removed the ultra fine filter, a clear plastic strip was holding the float. Should this be here or could it just be trash that got into the filter?
For model number GDT695SBL5TS
Hello Scott, thank you for reaching out. Our research shows that there is no plastic strip around the float. We hope this helps.
