This refrigerator is 2 years old. Ice maker stopped making ice and after replacing the thermistor and ice maker found a badly blocked and frozen
Tube assembly. Was very difficult to melt ice and clear the tube but it did clear and i reassembled and ran. After 1 cycle of im making ice cubes it stopped
Making ice and water forced out back of refrigerator around tube seal and
Tube was frozen closed again. Is there a heater in the refrigerator body that
May be defective? What else could cause freezing after 1 cycle?

Water gets frozen inside TUBE IM Assembly WR29X24766 for the ice maker.
It works a few times and then it freezes again.
would replacing the tube solve the problem?

If the Water Filter PS16217433 is clogged, it can cause unnecessary water pressure problems, which can cause freezing and clogging when water is drawn into the freezer. When water pressure drops, it can sometimes cause water to freeze inside the fill line. We hope this helps.
Grommet and fill tube for ice maker how does it pull out want to see if line is frozen or blocked will not come it's nest

Hi Lawrence, thank you for reaching out. To remove the grommet and fill tube, you will need a putty knife because it stuck there with a sticky adhesive. Wedge the putty knife around the side until you can pull it out. We hope this information helps!
