Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This refrigerator auger motor assembly powers the auger to push ice through the dispenser chute for smooth and efficient dispensing. Designed as a complete replacement solution, it includes the motor, cooling fan, fill tube heater, and a 12-pin wire harness for reliable performance. Made from durable plastic and metal components, this genuine OEM part ensures proper fit and long-lasting operation. Installation is straightforward—disconnect power, remove the old assembly, and secure the new one in place. Ideal for fixing issues such as ice not dispensing, ice getting stuck, or restoring consistent ice production in your Samsung refrigerator.

The ice maker will not continue to make ice. I replaced the ice maker and I can get perfect ice cubes when I hit the ice maker reset button. But it will not continuously make ice. Could this be an auger motor problem? I also replaced the main control panel. Still the same results.
For model number RF28HMEDBBC/AA-05
Hello Brian, thank you for the question. According to our research, we would recommend checking the water filter to ensure that it is not clogged. If the issue still occurs, you may need to check the water inlet valve, part number PS8737459, to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
my ice maker keeps filling untill it jams up then freezes up and I have to remove the ice tray and scree of the ice that is stuck
For model number rf28k9580sg/aa
Hi Jose, thank you for getting in touch. In case of overproduction of ice, the auger motor, part number PS11758619, that pushes ice through the dispenser chute is malfunctioning. Check the motor for continuity. If the auger motor does not have continuity, or if the motor is getting power but won't run, replace the auger motor. We hope this information is useful!
