timer was not advancing
First we ordered the multi temperature gas thermostat ( listed as the solution 83% of the time) and the coil kit( 16 %) and replaced those parts as suggested. But that did not work. then we ordered the timer, replaced it in 20 min( 1 wire at a time as suggested) and that fixed the dryer. Thank you.

Dryer didn't work on the automatic setting
I figured out from the parts schematic how to take the panel off to get at the switch, pulled off the wires and connected them to the new switch (one at a time so I would get them confused) replaced the panel. I also cleaned out the exterior termination of the dryer vent. I have a feeling that might have been the problem rather than the t

I tried to pull the knob straight off as in the videos. This is the only knob on the front panel. Should it pull off in one piece or 3 separate pieces( front cover, dial,, skirt)? Is there a something holding it on inside? It does not pull straight off and am afraid to stick a screwdriver along the edge for fear of cracking the whole knob. Thank you

Hello Marlene and thank you for writing.
You might have a kittle screw holding it on your model. there is the knob and it has an inside little plug that you would need to take out to expose the screw holding it. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Dryer seems to run normally but does not shut off whether in timer mode or moisture mode.
For model number LDG8414AAE
Hi Gene, Thank you for the question. This sounds like an issue with the Dryer Timer. This dryer timer is used to control the unit's cycles by regulating the length of time that power is directed to each setting.Hope this helps!

Maytag gas dryer no longer has heat. Noticed the timer does not count down. Not sure if it is a timer issue which is expensive or something with firing the gas heat.
For model number LDG7304AAE
Hello Paul, thank you for your question. The most likely issue with a gas dryer that doesn't have heat and the timer doesn't count down is either a part of the burner assembly or a thermostat. We would recommend testing/replacing the 'M' Series New Style Coil Kit Part Number: 279834, Multi-Temperature Gas Thermostat Part Number: WP307250, High Limit Thermostat Part Number: WP303395 first. These are the most common causes of both of those issues. I hope this helps!

Do you have to remove the knob on face of machine to change the timer? The knob does not easily pull off like in all the videos.
For model number LDG7314AAE
Hello Marlene,
Thank you for your question. Yes you would, we suggest removing the other knobs as well and removing the control panel first, then remove the timer knob from the back of the panel. Hope this helps!
