Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This dishwasher pump and motor assembly is a vital component that powers water circulation during wash and rinse cycles. It draws water from the sump and distributes it through the spray arms to ensure thorough cleaning. Additionally, it plays a key role in draining water at the end of each cycle. If your dishwasher is struggling to clean dishes properly, draining slowly, or making unusual noises, replacing this part may restore optimal performance. Installation typically involves accessing the lower portion of the appliance and disconnecting the old assembly before securing the new one.

We are having a hard time getting clean dishes and experiencing a high pitched whining at the very start of the cycle well as throughout the cycle intermittently (eg just as it finishes draining). Wondering if the motor needs to be replaced or if it’s something else?

Hello Ben, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the circulation pump, part number PS11773089, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
My dishwasher fills water, does it cycle and drain, but it does not clean dishes. I called Kitchenaid for service, they sent out a technician and told me the problem was a (circulating) pump. There is a voltage coming from the control board. He told me he will order the part (that was 1 month ago on 4 Oct 2022) Can you please advise what part is this so I can order it from you? Thank you.

Hello Allan, thank you for contacting us. Most of the time when the dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes properly the issue is related to the dishwasher filter, part number PS11759673, the pump and motor, part number PS11756693, and the turbidity sensor, part number PS11757214. We would also recommend ensuring that the spray arms are clean and not blocked. The electronic control board, part number PS11731272, is compatible with your model. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
