I’m looking for an insulated blanket to fit our dishwasher. We had a rat ?? problem and it just smells now.
For model number KUDC10IXWH0
Hello Kimberly, thank you for your question. The insulation blanket for your specific appliance is part number W10877094. This blanket would go up the side, across the top and down the other side of the dishwasher cabinet. Replacing this part should clear up that smell. Good luck with your repair!

What is the purpose of the shield. It does not appear with the heating on the schematic. Is it required if damaged or missiing and the heat element is working ok
For model number kudc101xbl1
Hello Floyd, Thank you for the question. The Shields help shield the Element nuts from excessive heat so they do not crack and break. Hope this helps!

What is the purpose of the shield that is with the heating element? We replaced our heating element dishwasher still not getting hot enough to dry and sanitize. Would the next step be replace the thermostat?
For model number Wdf530plyb2
Hi Kim,
Thank you for your question. Yes, I would suggest testing the thermostat with a multi meter to check if it is working correctly or not. When testing the part it should read 0 ohms. If that part is fine, you may want to check your wiring for any damage. If your wiring is fine it may actually be your control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
