I keep getting an E6 F2 error code on my Whirlpool stack double oven. Looking for the electronic control circuit board...maybe?
For model number RBD306PDB14
Hi Jason,
Thank you for your question. The E6-F2 error code indicates a problem with the touchpad or the electronic oven control. Sometimes unplugging the oven will help reset it and clear the code. If it does not, to test the oven you would need to remove the control panel and disconnect the ribbon connector from the touchpad to the oven control at the oven control. Clean the end of the ribbon and reconnect it. This will sometimes correct the problem. If the error code comes back, you will need to replace the control panel with touchpad. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

We had a technician come out and look at our Whirlpool double wall oven because the display was out and the oven would not turn on. The lights did but nothing else was working. He serviced it and said it wasn't fixable because it need a main control board. This is exactly what he wrote in his notes: blank display. needs main control board. part is no longer available. unable to fix.
any help would be appreciated. thanks

Have you tried a hard reset for your board? Meaning go to your panel fuse box find the breaker for your oven and flip it to off wait 60 seconds and turn it back on. Sometimes that helps.

My built in double oven control panel cuts off after about 5 minutes of cook time, and then the oven cools down. Is there trouble shooting for this or does the circuit board need to be replaced? Sometimes it will give me a few beeps (I assume representing an error, but the control panel has gone blank so I cannot see the error). Thanks!

Hello Courtney, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the high limit thermostat, the temperature sensor, the membrane switch/touchpad, and the wiring. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.
Our double oven blew the circuit board. Our repairman told us the circuit board needs replacement. Do you have that part for sale? Is the control board the same as a circuit board? This oven is a 2012 model.

My oven quit working, repair guy came and said that the "mother board" was the problem, it quit working and that we would have to buy a new double oven. I hardly use the oven perhaps twice a month. We bought it 12 years ago and it's just my husband & me. Help!
