Dryer Timer - 60 Hz. WP8299781

The part arrived in a timely manner. Was very simple to replace old with new. Unplug from electric receptacle. Remove the back with nut driver, take photo on the timer control so you have a view of where to replace the four or five wires that needed to be connected, and then remove three screws as well as the knob from the front of the dryer panel. put the new in place, attach the wires according to your photo, insert three screws, reattach the back panel and reconnect to electric outlet. Give it a try. Did it in approximately 20 minutes time, most of which was moving dryer out and moving back into place and finding the nut driver. Very easy and only cost was the cost of the item. No service charge.

The timer was in great condition when received. Simple repair. Since I had my dryer pulled out to access the back panel for testing, I went ahead and cleaned out the lint trap holder, and exhaust duct work. Glad I did. I recommend it if you've got it pulled out anyway.

Costly for a timer, but cheaper than replacing the machine. 'Twas an easy fix.

The part i received was the exact fit for my dryer however it didnt fix the issue.
