Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This is a control knob, sometimes known as a valve knob, for a range, oven, or stove. It allows you to control the temperature of the surface burner on your appliance. It is made of plastic and is black in color. This knob accepts a D-shaped shaft. No tools are required for completing this repair. Simply pull the knob straight off the post until it pops off, and reverse the process to reinstall the new knob. This is an OEM replacement part and is sold individually. You may want to consider replacing all of the knobs at once to avoid wear and maintain a consistent appearance.

Range control knobs were broke
The parts I got were exactly like the original knobs and were a breeze to snap on. Range working great again . The wife is happy again lol
1. Removed old knobs and the adapter piece with pliers ( I tried using cheap universal knobs from Lowe’s first that were garbage)
