I am not sure if the latch board is the correct price. The gray plastic part that holds the electronic control board and had little gray circles in the bottom is what is broken. If this is the correct part, are there very detailed instructions for installation?

Thank you for your inquiry. I have reviewed our website and this latch board holds the micro switches in place. The part you are looking for is the control panel with touchpad. The touchpad comes in black (part number 8205798), white (part number 8205805) and stainless steel (part number 8205816) and they have all been discontinued by Whirlpool. There is a company that handles discontinued parts and they may be able to assist you. They are known as Angel Appliances.com and their telephone number is 1-877-835-6030.I hope this helps.
