The threads on the yoke shaft stripped.
I had to cut off the old yoke since the threads had stripped and it would not come off. Once I did that all I had to do was to remove 4 screws on the auger motor and replace it with the new auger motor. Then I put the yoke on the new auger motor shaft and then put the unit back in the freezer. Work time was less than 15 minutes with no pr

The ice maker only makes crushed ice what parts do I need to replace unit is 6 years old.
For model number WRF555SDFZ08
Hello Ronald, thank you for getting in touch. If your ice maker is only producing crushed ice and not cubed ice, the issue might be related to the dispenser solenoid, part number PS11752532. We would recommend checking it to solve the problem. It shifts the ice container deflector to dispense crushed ice or cubed ice. We hope this helps!
Ice maker will not dispense ice the auger motor does turn but will not dispense the ice. Do I need to replace the auger motor which does attaches to the mechanism the pushes the ice out? Or do I have to buy the whole assembly including the attachment as I think that the attachment is stripped as I can not take it off.
For model number WRF555SDHW10
Hi Charles, thank you for the question. If the auger motor is fine, we would suggest checking the ice dispenser yoke, part number PS11743333. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
