Simple repair - did it without removing door. Part arrived in 3 days.
The video for replacing the door gasket showed removal of both doors - the upper freezer door and the lower fresh food door. If the fridge was not in use (i.e. empty) I would have removed the doors. I left the fridge running and covered the fresh food section opening with a large piece of cardboard I got at the grocery store - found a big cardboard sheet from a pallet of water bottles. Used some masking tape to hold the cardboard cover in place. I suppose you could do without the cardboard cover as food wont spoil in the ~20 mins needed to do gasket replacement. Emptied the door compartments and removed the shelving parts (washed the parts). Removed door panel and replaced gasket - would have been easier with a helper to hold things up, but I did if by myself. Only issue was at bottom of door - the large, thin gasket lip was sagging and interfering with door jamb. Loosened screws to stretch gasket out a bit. Used 3 bits of masking tape to hold up the gasket lip so door closes properly (remove tape after gasket settles into place).

Door Gadket
Correct part, but was difficult to check on the parts list. Took 3 plus weeks to arrive, cost was more than was expected, as there were no other replacement item available.

Old seal was pulling apart, door wouldn't seal tight.
Having 2 people makes the job a snap. On our model the freezer door had to be partially removed so the other door can be lifted off, then slightly tighten freezer door in place. Lay door flat and remove the 36 screws & gasket making sure the new gasket slots are tucked under to match up with screw holes. We started all the screws & came

I took the advice of another post and put gasket in clothes dryer for about 5 minutes, helps a bunch. Start to finish,30 minutes. Taking food out of door & replacing.

Cracked Gasket
No need to repeat the other directions, everyone is spot on with exactly what to do, the ONLY thing I want to add is that prior to putting the new gasket on, throw it into the dryer for a few minutes to make it more pliable..... My problem was that it didn't seat very well, be patient, after 2 days and keeping pressure on it over night, i

Leaky Gaskets (Freezer & Refrigerator0
Took doors off, placed on counter, removed the screws ans installed gaskets seals.
The repair goes much easier if the door is removed. The door is bulky and that's the difficult part. Once its on the table, unscrew to get old one off, put new one in place and re screw. (there are many screws) Then bulky door needs to be placed back onto the refrigerator. Again difficult positioning, weight, bulky. The door comes off and

Refrigerator Fresh Food Gasket
I merely removed the old one and replaced the old one, I luckily had a ratcheting screw driver which made things go alot quicker as there were 36 screws holding the gasket on the inside of the door, also I had to replace some of the screws that I tightened as they stripped out in the door metal, I GOT SOME OF THE SAME DIMENTION with a sli

Door seal worn out, needed replacement
To make instalation much easier, I removed the door and layed it on a table. Refrigerator door weatherstripping torn
Removed all screws on the door that retained weatherstripping, removed weatherstripping and inside of door. Inserted new weatherstripping, lined up inside of door and loosely re-installed screws. After minor alignment adjusting, went back and tightened all screws. Replacement part was a perfect fit.

Old gasket leaking
The gasket is sandwiched between the main door and the shelf assembly.
What holds them together is 42 1/4in hex head self tapping screws that run along the edge (each one is finger tight).
I would highly recommend a power drill with a 1/4 hex socket to remove the screws. It makes things much faster. Be careful when

Knats keep getting side of both freezer and fresh food compartment. Fresh food compartment seal is about 3 years old. Freezer seal came with unit in 2000. Question is why and how are these bugs getting in the unit? Preparing to get new seals, but they are not cheap. Thanks for any advice.

Hello Miller, thank you for writing. Gnats, or fruit flies, are drawn to fruit, plants and standing water. They have likely laid eggs somewhere inside of your refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator and remove any drain traps and covers from inside of it and allow it to sit to dry out. After it dries out, spray the entire fridge with a spray cleaner that has bleach. Cover with tape any holes you discover inside the refrigerator that look like good possibilities for the flies to be breeding. Let the refrigerator sit for a day, then clean it with soap and water and plug it back in. I hope this helps!
