I ordered a timer for the dryer in the morning, paid the overnight shipping, it shipped out that afternoon and was at my door the next day when I got home from work. The timer was an exact match. I will continue to use partselect in the future.

Timer was exactly what was needed to get power back to the machine at all. Four stars - efficient, reliable, timely correct part. But now the heater was only producing at half-voltage. Coincidence? Tested the temperature regulator electronics on the user panel, all ok. Finally called a repair guy who did full surgery and discovered a defective switch behind the drum, at the motor! It's a safety feature, to keep contents of the drum from igniting, should the motor fail while the heater is producing at 240v. Expensive part, old dryer: we need the dryer daily for business laundry, so we just bought a new dryer!

As I’ve already replied to these Review solicitations (one from Google, two from you, so far), installing the timer was a breeze: it’s virtually identical to the old one, I’ve re-checked my connections, but now, for starters, I’m getting only low heat, and the unit shuts down completely at Auto-Extra Tumble setting, regardless of separate Tumble switch setting. Next step is to put my volt meter to work, checking for proper open/close circuits, according to the schematic sheet which I found taped under the old timer. What a time-consuming drag. I’m assuming I can call you after Columbus Day.
