Fixed the problem
I had problems with my Kenmore dryer before so I knew what the problem was, the push to start button wouldn’t make it operate. It would start with the button down but stop as soon as you released it. The relay was worn out so a new one did the trick.

Quick delivery and was an exact match
As noted above was an exact match, in fact same OEM part. Unfortunately when the original shorted out it also killed the circuit board which is no longer available. None of this was the fault of the replacement part

Except for slow shipping, all went well
I've bought from Parts Select for years and have always had a good experience. Normally, however, the part arrives in 2-3 days. This time it took 7 days (and the part was a tiny relay, so it's not like it was an oversized item). I'm not sure if Parts changed shipping carriers or have downgraded their service, but except for that it was another great experience. I'll definitely but from these guys again

Dryer stops working after l push the button.
It was easy to remove the old part with the help of a u tube video and replace with new one. Once l did the dryer still won’t stay on. I will be returning the part it has to be something else wrong.

Dryer Start button wouldn't stay on
After watching a video from youtube: which happened to have the same issue and exact dryer, I realized it was the start button relay and not the switch. The video covers how to test if its the relay. I did mark all the wires with tape and labeled them so I made sure they were reconnected appropriately. I ordered the relay and it was ins

Dryer motor would not run
The motor relay arrived the day after I ordered it, and i had not requested expedited shipment. Thanks for the quick delivery. I say the repair was a bit difficult only because it was not obvious at all how to open up the control console, and the user's manual was completely silent on the subject of disassembly . I finally found that

Replacing the part only took about ten minutes. Now that I know how to open the console, the whole repair could be done in less than fifteen minutes.

Dryer wouldn't stay started after button was pushed.
Removed the back of the dryer panel and replaced the relay that was not working. The dryer then worked for the next weekend of laundry then the dryer did the same thing at the end of our chores. I then pulled the panel back off and found the control pane (eend heat control) was burned up. I ended up buying a new dryer , a different brand

Hello John,
Thanks for your question. This is likely an issue with the motor relay, part number PS346562, or the power relay, part number PS11741695. You may wish to test it with a multimeter to see if it has continuity and replace it if it shows no continuity. If that part is intact, consider replacing the motor itself.
I hope this helps.
Kenmore gas dryer does not continue to run after push to start switch is released. Service visit lead to a new motor, problem remained. A new 3406281 power relay was installed. The problem remained. When the power relay was swapped with heat relay the motor ran but no heat was generated. Waiting for another relay! Taken over a week to chase the problem.

Hello Jack, thank you for your question. If the power relay and motor are not the issue, the problem could be the Thermostat, Internal-Bias Part Number: PS11746740, or the push to start switch PartSelect Number: PS11742178, I hope this helps!

Hi again. I put a meter on all of the parts i replaced for having no heat (fuses, thermostat, thermistor, heater element) and got readings under 40 while running. Still no heat. Checked the incoming voltage and it's fine. What should i check next, the power relay? Or what? Thank you.

Hello Brett,
Thank you for your question. Yes, we also suggest checking the door switch under part PS11741701 as well if the power relay isn't defective. We hope this helps.
Hi Miguel, thank you for your question! To determine if the part is defective or not, use a multimeter to test for continuity. We hope this information is useful!
