washer timer knob broke
Made sure the threads lined up with the screw post. Turned the knob clockwise around the post because it was too hard to lift the washer and turn it. Kept turning until I couldn't turn it anymore. Done. Easy peasy, no need to call my husband.

Original (Plastic) Timer Knob, broke in half.
Was able to unscrew the nut, which was still on the shaft, with an adjustable wrench and screw on the new knob.
The part was available, shipped in two days and arrived in three!

The timer/wash select knob broke off in my hand
Went on line and did a search for Kenmore Washer Select Knobs through the Part Select website. The associated photo made it easy to match to my broken part. Ordered it and received it in 3 DAYS!!! I have an apartment size Kenmore washer in my rv.The water level knob got broken off,i know this is an older model,but i was hoping you would be able to help me locate a replacement part.The shaft the knob goes on is broken and i can only use the low setting only.

Knob will not connect...looks like the gears inside of the knob and the receptacle are broken...will the replacement knob reconnect easily for me to get it started again?

Hello Pat, thank you for your question. The Timer Knob for your model washer, part number PS11741232, should easily fit onto the Timer Indicator Dial, part number PS11741969. Both then slide onto the shaft of the Timer, part number PS11743424. I hope this helps!

How do you remove old broke knob and replace new knob

The new timer knob fits on the thread nicely, but there is a broken nut just underneath it when it is threaded on, not standard nut style, that is broken. I cannot find the part number for this special type of nut. Where can i find it or the part number? Any ideas where this nut can be purchased or is it really needed?

Knob was missing. I tried to screw on new part which would not go on because new part was too big. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Lin, thank you for the question. We would recommend using the model compatible timer knob as the parts specifications vary according to the model number. The compatible timer knob for your model is part number PS11741232. You just need to take it, line it all up, and screw it on the timer bolt. We hope this information helps!

Is this the correct push-pull knob for the main control dial (wash cycle, rinse, spin, etc)? I think it has a threaded shaft. I'm not sure how it attaches properly since the original just broke off. Finally, any idea as to age of the machine, which still works just fine? Thank you so much for your help.

hello Hans, Thank you for the question. The knob for this model come sin three parts. The main Knob Part #: PS11741232, The Dial or Skirt Part #: PS11741969 and the Trim Ring Part #: PS11741973.
