Mixer Bowl Latch Spring WP3182857

SO SIMPLE!!!!! Using a regular screwdriver, remove the remains of the Spring Latch. Place new one over holes and screw new one in place using the currently used screws. May wash off screws first if caked with gunk. OMG!!! TOOOO easy and saved me from throwing out a very terrific 40 year old PRO LINE KITCHEN AID MIXER!! To replace it would ... I screwed the two screws into the place of original holes and Voila! it was repaired.

Unscrew the broken latch; remove it; screw in the new latch. Very, very, very easy to do.

checked online for the part name, called and ordered the spring latch. It came in a couple days and works fine. Many thanks.

Easy off-easy on! Parts were exactly what I needed.

Take off the old one, put on the new one--start kneadin' bread. Finding a screw driver was the hard part.

Two flat head screws removed, swapped out the latch, and replaced.
The entire repair took about two minutes.
Price was acceptable given the worth of the mixer.
