Refrigerator Water Filter Cap Specifications

This is a replacement water filter cap for your refrigerator. The cap is made of gray plastic and is approximately 2.5 inches in diameter. It is sold individually. The water filter cap protects and secures the water filter on the bottom of the refrigerator. If it is cracked, broken, or missing, this is the part that replaces it. To complete this repair, simply remove and discard the damaged cap, and replace it with the new one. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Ice would not dispense and the water filter cap was missing
Remove two screws on shaft cap. Remove cap. Remove shaft and white o ring. Put o ring on new shaft and install. Replace cap and two screws. The cap for the water filter was harder. Without a cap, it took me a few minutes to wiggle the filter out enough that I could put the new cap on. Both parts worked perfectly. Both are horribly designed and will likely need to be replaced again.
