I've had the unit 8 years and the water and ice have always had a plastic taste. I've tried stainless braided supply and copper. Could the taste be coming from the reservoir? Would replacing it fix that problem? My water doesn't have that taste anywhere else in the house so it is definitely coming from the unit
For model number KFFS20EYMS02
Hi Joshua,
Thank you for your question. If the water and ice from your refrigerator have a plastic taste, the reservoir may need to be replaced. Replacing the water filter and the water lines may help as well.
When you replace the water filter and water lines, flush the filter and the lines thoroughly before drinking the water and making ice. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
