My trash compactor was ordered with the intent of installing a panel front to match the kitchen. The panel we intended to use never really worked well, if I ordered this stainless steel front, would it be compatible with my compactor.

We are wanting to buy a new compactor but they no longer make it in black and was wondering if we took the front door off if it could be power coated?
