Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This refrigerator door gasket is designed to create a secure seal around the French doors of select GE refrigerators, helping to maintain optimal internal temperatures and improve energy efficiency. As a genuine OEM component, it ensures a precise fit and long-lasting performance. The gasket prevents warm air from entering and cold air from escaping, which is essential for preserving food freshness and reducing energy consumption. A worn or damaged gasket can lead to temperature fluctuations, increased energy use, and difficulty keeping the refrigerator cool. Installation involves removing the old gasket and pressing the new one into place along the door frame. Before purchasing, verify compatibility by checking your refrigerator’s model number or consulting a parts supplier.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
